CTOnews.com, May 30, according to Reuters, the private plane of Tesla CEO Elon Musk has landed at Beijing Capital International Airport. According to sources, Musk is expected to meet with senior Chinese officials and visit Tesla's factory in Shanghai, which will be his first visit to China in three years.

As of CTOnews.com, Tesla did not respond to a request for comment on whether Mr Musk had arrived in China.

Musk's private jet, a 2015 Gulfstream G650ER, left Alaska on Tuesday morning Asian time and then flew over Japan and South Korea, according to flight aggregation website ADS-B Exchange. Reuters saw the plane at Beijing Capital International Airport on Tuesday and can be identified by the tail number.

China is Tesla's second largest market after the United States, and the Shanghai plant is the largest production base for the electric car maker, which is currently responsible for the final assembly of Tesla's Model 3 and Model Y models.
