CTOnews.com, May 30 (Xinhua) according to the latest report released by market research firm Counterpoint Research, shipments of smartwatches in China fell 28% in the first quarter of 2023 from a year earlier, down 16% from the previous quarter, reaching the lowest level in the past 12 quarters.

Huawei, Apple and imoo ranked top three in the smartwatch market this quarter, with a market share of more than 60 per cent.

HLOS smartwatches, which run high-end systems such as watchOS and WearOS and can install third-party applications, accounted for 45 per cent of all smartwatches, with the smallest year-on-year decline in shipments.

CTOnews.com attached is as follows: Huawei shipments account for 37%; Apple Apple Watch shipments account for 35%; OPPO shipments account for 8%; and Xiaomi shipments account for 8%.

In terms of children's smartwatches, shipments fell 31 per cent year-on-year, with 35 per cent of geniuses, 15 per cent of Huawei and 8 per cent of millet 360 degrees.
