CTOnews.com May 29 news, Intel at this year's Computex 2023 Taipei computer show showed a Meteor Lake-H processor prototype, and showed off the SoC VPU part.

According to the data seen by foreign media, this processor was completed two weeks ago and has 16 cores and 22 threads. Referring to previous revelations, this is likely the 6P +8E +2E (SoC) configuration we saw earlier.

As shown below, it has 1.6 MB of L1 cache, 18 MB of L2 cache, and 24 MB of L3 cache. Due to the original Intel 4 technology, the main frequency of Meteor Lake processor seems to be at a low level, the base frequency is only 3.1 GHz, and this ES processor even has an idle frequency of 0.37 GHz.

As you can see from the picture, Intel has also equipped it with a brand new VPU. Interestingly, Windows detects it as Movidius.

Intel says the chips on Meteor Lake SoC are three generations ahead of Movidius, but share the same IP (which is why Task Manager detects them as Movidius NPU). In addition, we can also see that the VPU will use approximately 1 GB of shared vRAM memory to do its job.
