CTOnews.com, May 29, according to the Swedish Sports Television (SVT Sport), the Swedish National Sports Federation (Swedish Sports Confederation) decided to accept the Swedish Electronic Sports Association (Swedish Esport Federation) as its member and listed e-sports as one of the official sports in Sweden. The proposal was finally passed by 108 people for it and 71 against it.

According to previous reports from CTOnews.com, the 10th DOTA2 International Invitational tournament (TI10) in 2021 was originally planned to be held in Sweden, but Valve's application was rejected due to the policies of the Swedish authorities and other reasons.

In the end, TI10 was forced to postpone and choose Romania as the venue, and closed spectators to watch the match.

Two years later, the Swedish e-sports association applied to the Swedish National Sports Federation, which included "Rockets League" in addition to "DOTA2" and "CS:GO" which had been refused to host the game. These games will also be the first officially recognized e-sports in Sweden.
