It is understood that Alipay (Hangzhou) Information Technology Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Ant Group. By the end of 2022, it has applied for nearly 8000 patents in more than 40 countries and regions around the world, and the number of effective invention patents has exceeded 3000. It involves artificial intelligence, blockchain, security technology, privacy computing, digital payment and many other fields.

A large number of technology patents have been put into the actual product application of Alipay, which has become the basis of its scientific and technological innovation, and also provides technical support and engine drive for Alipay to digitally help the real economy and serve hundreds of millions of consumers.

Prior to this, Alipay also led a number of international and domestic standard-setting by virtue of its technological leadership in bar code payment, identification, risk control, data security and other fields, and won dozens of awards at home and abroad.
