DSCC said the price of high-end TV models could fall within months, thanks to improved production facilities and production in 2023, and could even see a sharp price cut during the Christmas season.

At present, the main OLED technology used in LG display is WOLED, which adds a white sub-pixel to each OLED pixel while retaining the standard red, green and blue sub-pixels. Although this technology sacrifices color accuracy to some extent, it performs well in preventing image aging. LG has always dominated the OLED market with its WOLED monitors used in televisions such as LG C3 OLED.

Samsung previously announced an agreement with LG Display to buy 20, 000 77-inch and 83-inch WOLED panels from LG, which is expected to begin supply next year. This news means that because of the lower cost of WOLED in 2023, the purchase price of LG will also be lower, which will eventually affect consumers, that is, the lower price of the goods themselves.

Foreign media FlatPanelsHD predicts that by 2026, the cost of each 100-inch panel is expected to drop by more than $2026 (CTOnews.com Note: about 14309 yuan).
