CTOnews.com reported on May 28 that the 20 million set of Electronic Power steering products (EPS) in the Asia-Pacific region of Zaifu Group has gone offline, and the second phase of the new plant of Zaifu Automotive Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has been completed, expanding the variety and production capacity of EPS system products in China.

CTOnews.com obtained from the official that the new plant plans to add about 6000 square meters of construction area to the original facilities, and more than 4000 square meters of construction has been completed. The total investment of the project is 320 million yuan to expand the production of ZF EPS products. New EPS sales in 2024 are expected to increase by more than 1 billion yuan over 2022.

ZF accounts for about 25 per cent of the group's global sales in the Asia-Pacific region, dominated by China, and plans to increase that share to 30 per cent by 2030.

ZF EPS supports autopilot functions above the L3 level, improving the dynamic and static performance of the vehicle, improving the driver's comfort and safety while driving; using an integrated motor instead of the hydraulic pump, so that its steering system is not affected by the transmission system; adapting to 24V and 48V battery packages to support the power output of up to 8000Nm; suitable for all kinds of medium and heavy trucks, long-distance buses and city buses.
