CTOnews.com May 27 news, the United States GaN technology manufacturer EPC recently filed a lawsuit to the California District Court and ITC, claiming that the domestic GaN chip leader Inossek infringed four patents of EPC, and sought prohibition and infringement compensation.

CTOnews.com saw in the indictment that EPC targeted two former executives at the company. EPC believes that shortly after its CTO and sales director joined InoSecco, InoSecco launched products that are almost the same as the key performance indicators of EPC. In addition, Inossek has launched an aggressive marketing campaign to actively promote its products to EPC customers.

EPC is seeking damages for infringement and hopes to ban Innosecco from selling gallium nitride products involved in infringement in the United States. Industry insiders pointed out that if EPC finally wins the case, the strategy of GaN enterprises such as Yingnosecco to enter the international market will have to be changed.

Founded in December 2015, Innosecco is a GaN device manufacturer headquartered in Zhuhai, whose products include high and low voltage GaN power supply IC, power semiconductors and so on. It has the world's largest 8-inch silicon-based GaN wafer production base.
