We were surprised by the news that it took Microsoft 30 years to support rar files in the Windows operating system, but now we wonder if they are also considering providing a RAR engine within 30 years?

Microsoft announced many features of the Win11 system at the Build 2023 developer Conference, which caused a great deal of attention and discussion on the network to support rar compressed files.

First of all, we are honored by Microsoft's decision. This is expected to promote the popularity of the rar compressed format, and this decision also improves ease of use for those users who are not familiar with WinRAR.

Secondly, should we be worried? After all, we are a small company, and Microsoft is a large, multi-billion-dollar international company with great power. The difference in size is bound to worry us.

When we searched for "how to search rar files" on Google, we saw a lot of advertisements from competitors.

Although users still need to create rar files through WinRAR, they can open .rar files without WinRAR.

But we hope that enough people will continue to support small software companies like us so that we can continue to develop WinRAR for a long time in the future!

We need to continue to develop WinRAR to make it more attractive to users. We have just released a beta version of WinRAR 6.22, which is currently undergoing a major upgrade and is expected to be ready by the end of this year.
