CTOnews.com, May 26, according to the official news of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, recently, China Satcom, a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, made use of China's first Ka high-throughput satellite, Zhongxing 26, with a capacity of more than 100 Gbps, to achieve Internet business applications abroad for the first time, opening a new journey for the internationalization of Ka high-throughput satellites in Jakarta, Indonesia.

CTOnews.com Note: Zhongxing 26 satellite is purchased and managed by China Satcom, a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It is China's first high-throughput satellite with a capacity of more than 100 Gbps, and it is also a new generation of high-throughput broadband communication satellite that meets the requirements of satellite Internet and communication transmission. The satellite is mainly used to provide high-speed broadband access services for fixed terminals and vehicle / ship / airborne terminals.

Zhongxing 26 satellite is developed by the Fifth Institute of Aerospace Science and Technology Group, using the self-developed Dongfanghong 4 enhanced satellite platform, which is expected to be located at 125 degrees east longitude and equipped with Ka band load, mainly covering the whole of China and the surrounding areas.

During the business demonstration, the 0.6-meter caliber high-throughput satellite home-made automatic portable terminal completed the whole process from equipment assembly to satellite access within 120 seconds. The use of Ka satellite network can achieve the international mainstream social software high-definition video calls, mainstream websites smooth access and browsing and other functions. The measured downlink 94.3Mbps and uplink 7.03Mbps have laid a technical foundation for the follow-up international customers' Internet access, base station return and other large-scale promotion and application.

China Aerospace Science and Technology Group said that in the follow-up, China Satcom will continue to carry out international business demonstration and verification and international market promotion based on the China Star 26 high-throughput satellite, so as to help the development of satellite communications industry in countries and regions along the "Belt and Road Initiative" route.
