While maintaining the classic 28mm f / 1.7 lens and elegant appearance, the Leica Q3 camera increases the sensor resolution to 6000 megapixels, comparable to the Leica M11, a new hybrid autofocus system, 8K video shooting function, an optional wireless charging handle and a flippable LCD screen.

The Q3 camera uses a different full-frame sensor from the M11, with a sensitivity range of ISO 50-100000, a new Maestro IV processor and 8GB buffer memory, and can quickly process every RAW DNG file about 70MB. The Q3 camera also supports built-in cropping, which can switch between different focal segments such as 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm and 90mm, but reduces the image resolution to as low as 6 megapixels.

It is worth mentioning that the Q3 camera supports the Qi wireless charging standard, and users can purchase a handle to achieve wireless charging. Another noteworthy feature is the addition of a flip LCD screen to the Q3 camera, which is the first time Leica has designed and produced a camera (excluding cameras developed in collaboration with Panasonic). In order to adapt to the design of the new screen, the back part of the Q3 camera was rearranged, moving all the buttons to the right, and leaving a groove as a thumb support. However, because there is no opening or bulge on the left side of the screen, users may need to stretch out their index or middle finger when they want to adjust the angle of the screen.
