CTOnews.com May 25, Samsung has previously cancelled the Galaxy Note series of phones, the Galaxy S23 Ultra launched in February this year has the shadow of the Galaxy Note series. Samsung now uses a blog to remind Galaxy Note users that they can upgrade to Galaxy S23 Ultra and acknowledges that the latest Ultra model is essentially the "spiritual successor" of the Galaxy Note series.

In a blog post on the Malaysian portal, Samsung said that "the Galaxy Note series has been at your service for many years" and invited customers looking for a "valuable successor" to consider upgrading to the high-end Galaxy S flagship product in 2023, "you will find a [successor] in Galaxy S23 Ultra".

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series, the last S Pen device with the Note name, was released in August 2020 with Android 10 and has been updated with Android 13, but does not comply with Samsung's new four-year upgrade policy and will not be able to upgrade to Android 14.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra can be seen as a Galaxy Note with different tag attributes, with a square shape similar to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, a slightly curved display and an embedded S Pen, including all iconic productivity applications.

In Malaysia, Samsung offers a special discount of RM500 (CTOnews.com Note) and 1000 Malaysian ringgit (1531 yuan) for 512GB and 1TB models of Galaxy S23 Ultra phones.
