Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, May 24, according to data released by market research firm IDC, shipments of PC (including desktops, laptops, and workstations) in India in the first quarter of 2023 were 2.99 million, down 30.1% from a year earlier.

Among them, the demand for desktops began to recover, and the notebook market fell by 40.8% compared with the same period last year. PC shipments fell 36.1 per cent year-on-year in the consumer market due to slowing demand and depressed market sentiment, while PC shipments fell 25.1 per cent in the enterprise market due to fewer and delayed purchases by small and medium-sized enterprises.

In addition, in the high-end notebook market, which sells for more than $1000, shipments in the consumer sector fell 59 per cent year-on-year; the corporate sector fell 65.8 per cent.

Apple mainly cleared inventory in the quarter, and low corporate demand led to a decline in shipments of high-end laptops, with Apple's Mac falling 42.4% in the first quarter of 2023 compared with the same period a year earlier.

CTOnews.com hereby attaches the following five brand information for the first quarter of 2023:

Hewlett-Packard: Hewlett-Packard led the market with a 33.8% share in the first quarter of 23, with strong performance in both the consumer and business sectors. Some government and education orders have helped it capture 34.7% of the corporate market, while HP has 32.6% of the consumer market by broadening offline channels.

Lenovo: although Lenovo's PC shipments fell by 37.5% year-on-year, it ranked second with a market share of 15.7%. Among them, it ranked second with 14.2% in the consumer market and third in the enterprise sector with 16.8%.

Dell: Dell ranks third with 13.9%. The supplier focused on clearing channel inventory in consumer and SME market segments, resulting in a significant decline in market share. The lack of orders also affects the performance of the company.

Acer: Acer Group ranks fourth with 12.3%. Despite the depressed market mood, Acer is one of the better-performing suppliers. It does well in government and education, with a 16.7% share of business, slightly lower than Dell and Lenovo.

Asustek: Asustek ranked fifth with a 6.6% share in the first quarter of 23. The supplier continues to perform well in the consumer sector, ranking second in the consumer notebook category, ahead of Lenovo and Dell with a share of 17.9%.
