Another improvement related to the taskbar is the ability to hide the time and date of the notification area. Microsoft says the new setting allows users to stay focused, no need to remove time and date when recording the screen, and makes the taskbar more concise. This feature appeared in the preview version of Windows 11 a few months ago and has now been officially confirmed by Microsoft.

Windows 11 also adds a new way to terminate a running application by right-clicking its icon on the taskbar without calling the task manager. This handy feature has also been announced in a recent preview of Windows 11 and is expected to be rolled out to all users soon.

CTOnews.com noted that in addition to the taskbar, Microsoft has added more native supported compressed formats to Windows 11, allowing users to open files such as tar, 7-zip, rar, gz, and so on. In addition, Windows 11 users will enjoy higher performance when compressing files.

In terms of native support, another change that is about to eliminate the need for third-party applications (to some extent) is the addition of RGB lighting controls. Microsoft is developing a special setup section to manage accessories with backlights and RGB lights, such as keyboards, mice, etc. Windows dynamic Lighting will allow users to customize RGB lights from the settings application without using the programs of third-party developers. Microsoft said a beta version of Windows dynamic Lighting will be released to users, developers and hardware partners this month.
