CTOnews.com, May 24, Microsoft revealed at today's Build 2023 developer conference that it will redesign the file manager on Win11. The new design is based on WinUI 3 compilation and development, brings a more modern interface and sidebar to folders, and improves the address bar and search box.

Microsoft announced the redesigned file manager a few months ago. The WinUI 3-based design focuses on optimizing the mouse and touch devices, introducing a more rounded interface and incorporating Mica blurring.

In the new version, almost all UI has been redesigned, from details to folder views. Microsoft has also updated the address bar and search bar, and all the action buttons have been moved below the address bar.

Microsoft has also developed a new gallery function for the file manager. Windows Insider project members have been invited to test it publicly. CTOnews.com has previously reported that interested users can click on the link below to read it.
