Netflix has already cracked down on account sharing in Latin America, New Zealand, Spain, Portugal and Canada. Netflix lost more than 1 million users in Spain after a crackdown on password sharing, Bloomberg reported. But now, once again, Netflix has expanded the scope of password sharing.

Netflix announced on Tuesday that it will further crack down on account password sharing, extending to more than 100 countries, including the United States. Netflix warns users that a Netflix account can only be used by one family, and that their account cannot be shared for free outside the family.

Netflix said it was sending emails about account sharing to customers in 103 countries, including the US, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Singapore, Mexico and Brazil.

Of course, Netflix also plans to launch a paid sharing service. Currently, American users can spend an extra $8 a month (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 56 yuan) to add a member outside the family.

In a letter to shareholders in April, Netflix acknowledged the "cancellation reaction" to paid sharing. However, the streaming pointed out that after the initial decline, Canadian subscribers began to add additional member accounts. Executives assured investors that the results "strengthened our confidence and convinced us that we were taking the right approach".
