According to the survey data of Omdia, the prices of all sizes of TVs and display panels will be back above the manufacturer's cash cost by the end of this quarter. This means that the panel factory will no longer lose money on shipments, and TV and display panel products will make a profit.

According to the report, the cumulative increase of products of all sizes of televisions and monitors has increased by at least 10% in the past three months, and the price of 55x65-inch panels with mainstream specifications has increased by more than 26%, according to the report. This trend has also attracted the attention of the industry, and the current mainstream view is that TV and display panel manufacturers may continue to raise prices.

Prior to this, panel manufacturer Qunchuang informed customers in May to comprehensively increase the price of display panels, and some customers have accepted the price increase. Omdia expects display panel prices to rise across the board in May, including an increase of $1 for TVs and semi-finished display panels. Compared with the strength of TV and display panels, the price trend of mobile phone panels is relatively low. CINNO Research latest report pointed out that with the mid-year promotion season approaching, terminal brand reserve momentum increased, panel demand continued to be strong in the second quarter, but brand customers in order to reduce costs, mostly to prepare goods at a low price in advance, panel prices will continue to decline throughout the second quarter, whether prices hit bottom in the second half of the year still depends on follow-up demand, mobile phone panel prices are still in a downward cycle in the short term.

CTOnews.com believes that although the prices of TV and display panels have risen, consumers can find the right time to start in large-scale promotions such as 618, taking into account that there is a certain lag in panel prices.
