CTOnews.com May 23, SUNING announced today that it has reached a strategic cooperation with ele.me, becoming the first large chain brand of home appliances 3C categories officially settled in ele.me. More than 600 stores across the country have landed on the ele.me platform one after another. Consumers can browse and buy goods in SUNING's store anytime and anywhere through ele.me takeout, and the goods can be delivered within 30 minutes.

Prior to this, SUNING released his first-quarter 2023 report on April 29, with first-quarter revenue of 15.859 billion yuan, down 18.14 percent from the same period last year, and a net loss of about 100 million yuan, a sharp decrease of 90.22 percent from the same period last year. The 2022 annual report released on May 1 showed that SUNING's annual GMV was 111.3 billion yuan, with an operating income of 71.374 billion yuan, down 48.62 percent from the same period last year.

After inquiry, CTOnews.com learned that SUNING operates 969 home appliances 3C direct stores in the first and second tier market store channels in 2022. In the fourth or sixth tier market, the retail cloud channel maintains the development rate of franchise stores, with a net opening of 769 stores in 2022. The sales of Maoning platform increased by 12.89% in 2022 compared with the same period last year. In the fourth quarter, retail sales accounted for nearly 20%, and operating expenses fell by 37.92% compared with the same period last year.
