Well-known Apple product collector @ Kosutami recently shared screenshots of the early development version of macOS 11, which shows that the system icon does not use rounded rectangle style, but uses flat icons from the previous Yosemite (10.10) to Catalina (10.15) periods, indicating that macOS 11's redesigned UI was added to the system at a relatively late stage of development.

This version has some features, such as the state of the kernel output is superimposed on the rendering screen, and there are some ARM versions of HWTE diagnostics, such as "Transformer", which may be used to convert x86 Mac applications to Apple Silicon versions.

It was released at Apple's Global developer Conference (WWDC) on June 22, 2020 and was officially launched to the public on November 12, 2020.
