CTOnews.com, May 23, according to the latest data disclosed by the Korea Stock Exchange, as of May 19, 2023, the foreign ownership of Samsung Electronics was 52.08%, returning to the level before March 4, 2022, which is an important milestone for Samsung.

According to disclosed data, foreign investors began frantically selling Samsung Electronics on June 17 last year, falling to a low of 49.24% on September 29 and falling below 50% for the first time in the past six years.

Foreign investors have bought $6.93 billion of Samsung Electronics shares since the beginning of 2023, and the trend is becoming more pronounced, with foreign investors investing 1.29 trillion won (currently about 6.889 billion yuan) this month.

Investment by foreign investors has picked up mainly because the supply glut in the memory market has begun to improve since the third quarter of last year, with Samsung Electronics showing signs of improvement thanks to a recovery in market demand.
