The other party used AI face-changing technology to borrow money from him through Wechat video pretending to be his friend, and swindled him out of 4.3 million yuan in only 10 minutes. Fortunately, the Telecommunication Network Crime investigation Bureau of the Baotou Public Security Bureau quickly activated the police bank linkage mechanism after receiving the request of the outsider, and successfully intercepted more than 3.3 million yuan of fraudulent funds.

On the day of the incident, Mr. Guo received a Wechat video call indicating that it was from his friend. In the video, he saw a familiar face and voice, and the other party said that his friend needed a deposit of 4.3 million yuan for bidding in other places, but he could only transfer money through a public-to-public account, so he wanted to borrow Mr. Guo's company account. He asked Mr. Guo for his bank card number and said he had transferred the money and sent a screenshot of the transfer form. Mr. Guo believed it and transferred the money to the account number provided by the other party twice without verifying the balance of the account. After transferring the money, he sent a Wechat message to his friend saying that the matter had been done, but the other party replied with a question mark. Only when Mr. Guo called his friends did he know that he had been cheated.

It turned out that the fraud gang used AI face-changing technology to imitate the facial expressions and voices of Mr. Guo's friends in the video, making Mr. Guo relax his guard. Mr. Guo immediately called the police for help, and the criminal investigation detachment of the Fuzhou Public Security Bureau contacted the Telecommunication Network Crime investigation Bureau of the Baotou Public Security Bureau and asked for assistance in stopping the payment of the funds involved in the case. Baotou police immediately contacted the relevant departments of Mengshang Bank, successfully intercepted 3.3684 million yuan of fraudulent funds in the account involved in the case within 10 minutes, and provided information on the outflow of the remaining 931600 yuan. At present, the case is still under further investigation.
