CTOnews.com SamMobile reports that many Samsung Galaxy smartphones get new software updates every month, usually bringing new features, bug fixes and general improvements, but Samsung smartwatch updates do not have a specific schedule.

Articles titled "Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 gets April 2023 update" can be found via Google Search Quick View, and these titles can be misleading. Samsung won't issue monthly updates for its smartwatch, which applies to newly launched watches and watches that have been on the market for some time.

That said, Samsung Galaxy Watch updates do not follow a specific release schedule, and wearables do not require regular security patches like Android phones and tablets, so Galaxy smartwatches do not have monthly or even quarterly updates.

Samsung Galaxy Watch updates can be bug fixes, introduce new features, or both, don't follow any particular timeline, and are released randomly without a preview schedule.
