CTOnews.com learned from the official that the raw material cost of Topang sodium-ion battery is about 50% lower than that of ordinary lithium-ion battery, the negative electrode is reduced by about 20%, the electrolyte is reduced by about 15%, the current collector is reduced by about 10%, and the total cost of raw materials can be reduced by about 30%.

In the ultra-low temperature environment, lithium-ion batteries often have some problems, such as electrode deactivation, electrolyte fluidity, electrochemical reaction rate and so on. Tuobang said that the discharge capacity of-40 ℃ of its sodium ion battery is close to 80%.

Topang sodium ion battery can achieve 3C charging and 5C discharge at the same time, charging for 20 minutes, and the charge can reach more than 90%. Topband expects its sodium ion battery to achieve an energy density of ≥ 160Wh/kg and a cycle life of ≥ 6000 times by 2025.
