According to Fuji Film Group's financial report for fiscal year 2022 released a few days ago, Fuji said its professional-grade imaging business had a good sales performance and a substantial increase in revenue.

As shown in the picture above, Fuji said strong sales of its primary imaging systems and digital cameras increased overall sales revenue in the imaging sector by 23.1% year-on-year to 410.3 billion yen, while operating profit rose 97.1% year-on-year to 72.9 billion yen. In its professional imaging business, the new X-series digital camera products X-H2S, X-H2 and X-T5 (the fifth-generation latest product of the Xmai T series) have performed well and their revenue has increased significantly.

As of March 31, 2023, the revenue of Fuji Film in all business areas had increased to varying degrees, up 13.2% year-on-year to 2.859 trillion yen. Although COVID-19-related demand in healthcare and high-performance materials declined compared with the previous year, and materials and energy costs increased, operating profit reached 273.1 billion yen, up 18.9 per cent from a year earlier, thanks to increased overall income and exchange rate effects.

Thanks to record operating profits, net profit belonging to Fuji Film Group rose 3.9% year-on-year to 219.4 billion yen. This is after the 2007 fiscal year, sales revenue hit an all-time high. Operating profit and net profit belonging to Fuji Film Group also reached an all-time high for two and three years in a row, respectively. In the three months of the fourth quarter, sales, operating profit and net profit attributable to Fuji Film Group all exceeded expectations announced on February 8, setting an all-time high for the fourth quarter.
