CTOnews.com May 21 news, in the application of TWS headphones, SMIC launched a solution to support 10C ultra-fast charging. Officials say the scheme has good thermal performance, and the charging efficiency can be up to 94%, thus improving the comprehensive life of the product.

The scheme is paired by Buck-Boost converter IC SC8753 and Linear Charger IC SC7289, and the charging or two-way UART communication is realized through 2-contact connection. Both SC7289 and SC8753 support the load detection function, which can omit the Hall switch for plug and pull detection.

Officials say this is an efficient direct charging solution designed for TWS headphone charging boxes. It can realize straight-through ultra-efficient charging, eliminate the loss of linear charging at the end of the headset, and improve the battery life of the headset. The program has been successfully mass-produced in TWS products of well-known brands in China.
