CTOnews.com, May 21, according to the China manned Space Engineering Office, the secondary wreckage of the long March 7 Yao-7 carrier rocket re-entered the atmosphere at around 14:05 on May 21, 2023, located in the South Pacific Ocean (151.6 °W, 31.2 °S), and most of the devices were ablated and destroyed during re-entry.

CTOnews.com previously reported that on May 10, the long March 7 Yao Seven launch vehicle ("long Seven Rocket") lifted the Tianzhou 6 cargo spacecraft successfully, which was the first launch of China's manned space engineering mission in 2023 and the first launch mission in the application and development phase of China's space station. As China's first-generation medium-sized carrier rocket with high reliability and high safety, the Chang-7 rocket has the highest orbit accuracy among the active carrier rockets, with a deviation of no more than 4 seconds. In the mission of launching the Tianzhou V cargo spacecraft, the spacecraft set a world record of two hours for autonomous rapid rendezvous and docking. As the basic type of China's new generation of medium-sized carrier rockets, the scientific research team has derived long March 7A, long March 8 and other carrier rockets on the basis of Chang 7 rockets.

At present, the Chang-7 rocket is mainly responsible for the launch of Tianzhou cargo spacecraft, which is a "special freight train" to build a "heaven-earth transport corridor" to provide material support for the normal operation of China's space station at a frequency of one or two launches a year. In the follow-up, while satisfying the freight mission of the space station, the Chang-7 rocket will also carry the upper stage of the expedition to achieve the carrying capacity of 9.5 tons in the sun-synchronous orbit and actively expand the launch market of medium-and low-orbit satellites.
