CTOnews.com, May 19, Linux hardware supplier System76 today announced an updated version of portable Lemur Pro Linux laptops with newer internal components and larger batteries.

The 2023 new Lemur Pro Linux laptop is equipped with the 13th generation Intel "Raptor Lake" processors, namely Intel Core i5-1335U and Intel Core i7-1355U, with 10 cores, 12 threads, 12MB cache and Intel Iris Xe graphics card, maximum 40GB DDR5 4800MHz memory, 73Wh lithium-ion battery, and promised battery life of up to 14 hours.

The 2023 Lemur Pro features a 14.1 inch full HD (1920 × 1080) display, frosted finish and 180 degree hinges, multi-touch pad, backlit standard keyboard, Wi-Fi 6e wireless, Bluetooth 5.3 dint Thunderbolt 4 ports, up to 8TB PCIe 4.0 storage and 1080p full HD webcam.

Lemur Pro also uses a black magnesium alloy chassis that weighs 2.54lb (1.15kg) and supports a USB Type-C charger.

As with all System76 Linux laptops, the new Lemur Pro comes pre-loaded with Poppers operating system 22.04 LTS or Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, System76 open firmware (Coreboot, EDK2, System76 firmware applications) and System76 open source embedded controller firmware.

The price of the 13th generation Intel Core i5-1335U chip, 8GB DDR5 memory and 250GB SSD storage basic configuration version is $1149 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 8089 yuan); equipped with the 13th generation Intel Core i7-1355U chip, 40GB DDR5 memory and 8TB SSD storage high-end configuration version costs $2583 (currently about 18184 yuan).
