CTOnews.com May 19 news, according to South Korea Chosen Biz reported that Samsung Semiconductor will postpone the Pyeongtaek plant in South Korea P3 4nm production line equipment investment.

Sources pointed out that the Pyeongtaek P3 production line was originally planned to be put into trial operation as Samsung's most advanced semiconductor production line in May this year and officially put into mass production in the fourth quarter of this year. This adjustment of equipment investment may delay mass production until 2024. Samsung will also suspend investment as semiconductor consumption continues to slump and corporate users delay data center construction, analysts believe.

South Korean analysts pointed out that Samsung continues to invest in advanced technology in order to achieve its goal of "semiconductor world No.1 by 2030" and adopts the strategy of "building factories first and postponing equipment" in the hope of becoming a leader in the foundry industry. However, Samsung's semiconductor technology has been in dispute.
