CTOnews.com May 19, the Internet Explorer 11 browser officially ceased support on February 14, 2023, but it has not completely died out in the individual user and enterprise world.

In a recent blog post, Microsoft introduced the follow-up actions to disable IE11 browsers. The CTOnews.com summary information is as follows:

Microsoft will release an optional non-secure "C" class update on May 23, 2023, removing visual references to IE11 browsers in some Win10 versions.

Microsoft will release Windows security updates (category "B") on patch Tuesday, June 13, 2023, to remove visual references from Windows systems, including the IE11 icon in the start menu and taskbar.

Microsoft says IE11 will no longer be supported as of June 15, 2022 and will be permanently disabled on February 14, 2023. These changes are designed to provide a better user experience and a smooth transition from IE11 to Microsoft Edge to ensure a faster, more secure, and more modern Web experience.
