CTOnews.com May 19 news, according to the Reddit community, Twitter social platform and other user feedback, iPhone users in the United States recently encountered a strange BUG, in the iMessage app, the phone number suddenly added a "+" character.

The problem is caused by text messages sent by Android users to iPhone users, but iPhone inserts a "+" sign at the beginning of the phone number. This causes the "information" application or operator to assume that the message comes from an international phone number-using the first digit as the international code.

After the iMessage app added the "+" character, it caused iPhone to think that the text message came from an international number. An example is attached to CTOnews.com as follows: a number that is usually 858-867-5309 appears as + 85 88675309 on iPhone.

Some netizens said that resetting the network settings might solve the problem, while some users reported that adding "+ 1" before the phone number could fix the problem.
