On the 10th of this month, the Tianzhou 6 cargo spacecraft was launched and docked in the space station assembly.

According to the basic information of the 2023 manned space mission published on the China manned Space official website, just this month, the Shenzhou 16 manned spacecraft will also be launched. at that time, six astronauts from the Shenzhou 15 and Shenzhou 16 crew will join the space station. it will also be the second two-crew handover of the Chinese space station.

It is expected that on May 30, the Shenzhou 16 manned spacecraft will be launched from the manual position at the Jiuquan launch site by the "long March 2F" Yao 16 carrier rocket. after the separation of the ship and arrow, the spacecraft will use rapid rendezvous and docking mode. finally docked at the radial port of the "Tianhe" core module.

After the Shenzhou 16 spacecraft is in place, the space station will form the main third cabin as the skeleton, and the "Shenzhou 15", "Shenzhou 16" and "Tianzhou 6" cargo spacecraft will be docked at the forward, radial and backward ports of the "Tianhe" core module, respectively. this is the 24th configuration since the establishment of the space station, and its configuration is similar to that of Shenzhou 14 and Shenzhou 15 in orbit. The mass of the assembly in orbit will exceed 100 tons.

CTOnews.com noted that according to China's manned space mission in 2023, Shenzhou 17 will be launched in October this year after the launch of Shenzhou 16 in May.
