CTOnews.com, May 18 (Xinhua)-- A team of college students from Amber Aeronautical University in the United States launched a small rocket on April 16 this year, with a maximum altitude of 15548 meters, 75 percent higher than Mount Everest (8849 meters).

CTOnews.com Note: this also sets a new record for the amateur launch height of 6706 meters in the field of education in the United States. Dalton Songge (Dalton Songer) said it took 4000 hours for the rocket to be launched in California's Mojave Desert from the project to the test to the actual launch.

Some members of the team have found full-time jobs at companies such as SpaceX, Blue Origin and Firefly Aerospace.
