CTOnews.com May 18 news, today, Volkswagen Group's Porsche announced that the future model will use Intel's Mobileye SuperVision technology platform, becoming the second automaker to adopt SuperVision after Geely.

The SuperVision platform combines CMOS, lidar, driver monitoring sensors and EyeQ 6 processors responsible for processing data input from the sensors. The platform can support a variety of auxiliary driving functions of future Porsche models, including drivers on certain types of roads without having to control the steering wheel, adaptive cruising, lane maintenance assistance, automatic braking and emergency steering avoidance. Mobileye calls the SuperVision platform a bridge to consumer self-driving vehicles and is optimistic that SuperVision will become the main driver of the company's growth in 2023.

CTOnews.com has previously reported that three Geely brands plan to launch electric models with the SuperVision platform around the world in 2023. In the future, through the OTA upgrade, polar krypton 001 users can unlock all the functions of SuperVision. Driven by demand in the Chinese market, the number of cars equipped with the SuperVision platform is expected to reach 1.2 million by 2026, Mobileye said. Some analysts estimate that by 2026, 27% of Mobileye's revenue will come from the SuperVision platform.
