This is the first time Hon Hai has not obtained the NPI of the highest-end iPhone assembly, and the profit of the iPhone business of Lixun Precision will start to grow significantly from 2H23.

It is estimated that Lixun will ship 45 - 50 million iPhone units in 2023 (about 20 million units in 2022).

Guo Mingxi pointed out that after November 2022, Apple turned some of the iPhone 14 Pro Max reservations to Lixun Precision in order to spread the risk. Because Lixun Precision's iPhone 14 Pro maximum yield improvement time is better than expected, it has obtained the 2024 iPhone 16 Pro Max assembly NPI, which means that Apple believes that Lixun Precision's research and production capabilities have reached the level of first-tier suppliers. This capability enhancement is also beneficial to the profit improvement of the iPhone business of Lucent Precision.

He predicts that the iPhone 16 series assembly NPI in 2024 will include Lucent Precision, Hon Hai and Heshuo, and expects Lucent Precision's iPhone shipment unit price to further increase by 2024. In addition, because Lixun Precision will also benefit from Pegatron's iPhone top-level module order order, Lixun Precision's vertical integration advantage will continue to expand and be profitable.
