CTOnews.com, May 17 (Xinhua)-- Google's Gboard input method has appeared on Android tablets since it introduced a separate keyboard for folding screen devices in June last year, 9to5 Google reported.

When the user enables the split layout to contain duplicate keys option in Settings > preferences > layout, the Gboard split keyboard places the same number of keys on the left and right, and the default is: "when the keyboard is set to split layout, some keys repeat on both sides." 9to5 Google found this on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 tablet running Gboard Beta beta version 12.9.21.

Meanwhile, the Gboard toolbar redesign has not been widely available since it first appeared in February this year.
