According to officials, 3A6000 is still in the process of production, and we will provide samples to the machine partners as soon as possible. We currently plan to launch the product in the fourth quarter, and the authoritative test data will also be arranged. In addition, the eight-core SoC products will be released in the first quarter of 2024, and the server CPU will continue to increase the number of cores.

At present, Godson also has 16-core 3C6000 and 32-core 3D6000 processors under development, but they have not yet been taped out. CTOnews.com noted that Godson also mentioned that its first large and small core synergy chip (which should be the 3B6000) is scheduled to be released in 2024, but the coordination problem needs to be solved by hardware and software.

There are questions from investors that the single-core performance of Godson 3A6000 will reach the level of mainstream products in the market. What products does this mainstream commodity refer to? Longxin Zhongke replied that, based on the company's current judgment, the company believes that the performance of 3A6000 can be comparable to 7nm's AMD's Zen 2, equivalent to the level of the tenth generation of Intel Core.

In terms of parameters, 3A6000 main frequency is 2.5GHz, using quad-core, dual DDR4-3200 memory channel design. SPEC CPU2006 single-thread fixed-point base score is more than 40 points, floating-point score is more than 50 points, multi-thread fixed-point score is more than 140points, floating-point score is more than 130. on the whole, it has reached the performance of Intel 10-generation Core.

In the official test, it is found that there is a certain gap between the Godson GCC compiler and the GCC compiler of X86, and the number of dynamic instructions in many applications is obviously higher than that of X86. It is estimated that the running score will be further improved after compilation optimization.

Officially mentioned: frequency and efficiency are two major factors to improve the performance of CPU. So there are also two technical routes. For example, Apple's M1 has a SPEC CPU2006 fixed-point single-thread score of 24 points per GHz, but the main frequency is only 3GHz, while the desktop CPU main frequency of Intel is above 5GHz, but the score per GHz is between 15 and 20. The score of each GHz of Godson 3A6000 is about 17 points, and the next step is to strive for 20 points.

Godson stressed: Godson will continue to improve the main frequency, but will not follow the current Intel technical route of sacrificing efficiency for frequency, and strive to continuously reduce cost and power consumption at the 3GHz level.

According to reports, the next generation of Godson 3A6000 will be 3B6000, with four big, four small and eight core designs and built-in self-developed GPU. Large cores strive to improve performance by more than 20% through structural optimization, but officials think it is difficult.

In addition, Godson should adopt more advanced technology to develop 3A7000 or 3B7000 on the basis of 3B6000. Technical preparation work for more advanced technology will be carried out in the second half of the year (as Godson insists on self-developing IP, it will take about one year to customize memory interface, PCIE interface and other PHY).
