CTOnews.com, May 17 (Xinhua) according to an official press release issued by Apple, App Store blocked more than $2 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 13.92 billion yuan) potentially fraudulent transactions in 2022, rejecting nearly 1.7 million App applications. These applications fail to meet App Store's stringent standards for privacy, security and content.

Account fraud: Apple closed 428000 developer accounts and 282 million customer accounts in 2022 for fraud and abuse.

Thanks to new methods and agreements, Apple has continuously improved its mechanism to monitor and quickly detect account fraud, and the number of developer accounts terminated due to suspected fraud has dropped from 802000 to 428000.

Apple's Apple Developer Program has rejected 150m suspected fraudulent apps, protecting users from nearly 57000 untrusted App from non-compliant stores.

App audits: the team reviews an average of more than 100000 App applications per week, and nearly 90 per cent are reviewed within 24 hours of submission.

App Review reviewed more than 6.1 million App applications in 2022, helped more than 185000 developers make more than 20000 calls to developers on App Store's App debut, to help them identify and resolve issues that led to App submissions being rejected.

Ratings: in 2022, more than 1 billion ratings and comments were processed, and Apple blocked and deleted more than 147 million ratings and comments that did not meet the review criteria.

Payment and credit card fraud: Apple blocked record $2 billion fraudulent transactions in 2022, banning 714000 fraudulent accounts from trading again.
