CTOnews.com May 16, China Mobile and Qualcomm Technology announced that they have jointly completed the end-to-end business verification of new 5G calls based on IMS Data Channel (data channel) in the laboratory and outfield environment, together with mobile phone manufacturers including vivo, Xiaomi and ZTE, and for the first time use Snapdragon 5G modems and radio frequency systems to implement a complete IMS DC underlying protocol stack for new calls on the baseband side.

Using the vivo sub-brand products iQOO 11 Pro, Xiaomi 13 and nubia Z50 equipped with the second generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, the engineer team successively completed the end-to-end service verification of IMS DC based on China Mobile trial SDK, and realized the transmission of real-time interactive information on the basis of traditional audio and video communication. Qualcomm is also based on the test terminal equipped with Snapdragon X705G modem and RF system, and completes the debugging of the underlying IMS DC protocol stack with the network side.
