Beijing, May 16 (Xinhua) just days after appointing a new CEO for Twitter, Elon Elon Musk began micromanaging his other company, Tesla.

On Monday, Musk said in an email to Tesla employees that Tesla could not recruit any new employees, including contract workers, unless he personally approved it. According to the memo, he asked Tesla executives to send him a list of recruitment requests every week, while reminding them to "seriously consider" before submitting such requests.

On Friday, Musk appointed Linda Yaccarino, a former head of advertising at NBC Global, as Twitter's new CEO. Mr Musk said at the time that the appointment would give him more time to run Tesla.

On Tuesday, local time, Tesla will hold the 2023 shareholders' meeting at his headquarters in Austin, Texas, when Musk is expected to deliver a speech to Tesla shareholders. Tesla has not commented on the report.
