CTOnews.com May 15 news, Guoxuan Hi-Tech said at a conference call with investors that since Volkswagen bought a stake, the two sides have jointly established a Volkswagen-Guoxuan Product Project Center, with technology types ranging from material system development, battery structure design, product testing and verification, manufacturing process and project management to all aspects of battery development to manufacturing. Both sides have developed standard cell products, and the standard cell project (10GWh ternary and 10GWh lithium iron phosphate) is expected to be put into production in the third quarter of this year.

CTOnews.com learned from the exchange meeting that Guoxuan Hi-Tech obtained the overseas procurement target of Volkswagen Group, and lithium iron phosphate "UnifitedCell" (standard cell) power lithium battery products are used in Volkswagen Group's full range of new energy vehicles except China.

The standard cell product introduces a new concept in the cell structure design, through the advanced PACK process, to achieve greater group efficiency and higher safety performance. The standard core iron lithium and the ternary version all adopt the same design size, and the whole vehicle link is completely standardized to reduce the cost.

The standard cell product will support the SSP platform for the next generation of the existing MEB and PPE platforms, which can cover 80% of Volkswagen's models. As long as the model on the SSP platform will use the standard cell, the cell is unified verification, and there is no secondary verification. At present, Guoxuan Tech is the only designated supplier of Volkswagen SSP platform.
