CTOnews.com In the latest issue of the Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that he expects Apple to launch its first Mac computer equipped with the next-generation M3 Apple Silicon chip by the end of this year or early 2024.

Gurman also details what a Mac with M3 chips might look like technically, according to the developer log. His sources indicate that the M3 Pro chip being tested has 12 CPU cores, 18 GPU cores and 36GB of unified memory, which is expected to be used in the next generation of 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models.

If true, the M3 Pro chip will have two more CPU cores and two GPU cores, as well as 4GB of unified memory, compared to the current M2 Pro chip.
