CTOnews.com, May 14, Toshiba recently released its financial report of 2022, with full-year operating income of 3.3617 trillion yen (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 173.128 billion yuan), up 0.7% from the same period last year; operating profit of 110.5 billion yen (currently about 5.691 billion yuan), down 30.5% from the same period last year; and net profit of 126.6 billion yen (currently about 6.52 billion yuan), down 35% from the same period last year. Toshiba Chief Financial Officer Masayama Hirata said at the briefing that the decline in profits was mainly affected by the sharp fluctuations in the HDD hard drive market and the pressure on Toshiba's HDD-related storage business.

Toshiba also said that as the HDD market remains uncertain in 2023, sales revenue is expected to fall 4% to 5% year-on-year in 2023, and net profit will fall to 110 billion yen (currently about 5.665 billion yuan).
