According to the report of China Automobile Center, Geely "Aegis Battery" successfully passed four difficult battery safety tests.

The test report issued by the New Energy Inspection Center of China Automobile Center shows that: in the battery puncture test recognized as the most difficult and severe in the industry, the Aegis battery did not catch fire, explode or smoke, and the maximum temperature of the battery during the whole test did not exceed 40℃, so it passed the test smoothly; In the three tests of battery pack seawater corrosion immersion, three-side drop and heavy blow, and external fire, the Aegis battery also passed smoothly.

CTOnews.com consulted the report of China Automobile Center and learned that this test is the first time that Aegis batteries have continuously challenged the four battery safety tests of "battery pack seawater corrosion immersion, three-side drop heavy blow, external fire and battery puncture test." The test contents include needle puncture test with diameter of 8mm and vertex angle of 45°; simulated seawater corrosion test with continuous immersion in sodium chloride solution with concentration of 3.5% at depth of 1 meter for 24 hours; drop test of battery pack at height of 2 meters; fire test with direct combustion for 105 seconds + indirect combustion for 90 seconds by external heat source.
