Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, May 13, IBM employee Ian Clifford (Ian Clifford), who had been on sick leave in 2008, recently believed that his current salary could not keep up with inflationary pressure, and failed to negotiate a pay rise with IBM and took his employer to court.

It is reported that Clifford's annual salary is 72037 pounds (currently about 626000 yuan). Under IBM's health plan, Mr. Clifford is entitled to 75% of his salary, that is, 54028 pounds (currently about 470000 yuan).

According to IBM's health plan, Clifford has been regarded as an IBM employee for the past 15 years and does not need to do any work.

Clifford said in the lawsuit that he had not received a raise since 2013 and that inflation was so high that his current income "will soon exceed his income".

For comparison, the average annual median salary for a full-time worker in the UK is 33000 pounds (currently about 287000 yuan), while the median salary for all employees is 27756 pounds (currently about 241000 yuan).

It is reported that under IBM's health plan, Clifford can receive the payment until the age of 65, accumulating up to 1.5 million pounds (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 13.035 million yuan).
