Hackers have infected smartwatches, televisions and many devices running Android, but the main infected devices are low-and middle-end Android phones.

Researchers say that in the production of Android phones, outsourcing is involved, and hackers hack into firmware suppliers to infect Android phones with malware before they leave the factory.

Trend researchers believe that this threat has become a "cancer of ordinary consumers and businesses" and that measures should be taken to curb this behavior.

The team analyzed dozens of firmware images used by OEM vendors and found at least 80 malicious plug-ins. And this model is already on a large scale, and hackers have formed a complete business model by selling it publicly in places such as Facebook, blogs and YouTube.
