CTOnews.com, May 13 (Xinhua)-- Google recently launched a new tool called Geospatial Creator for developers and creators who want to create and launch augmented reality (AR) experiences in real addresses.

The tool is supported by ARCore and Google Maps platforms and uses realistic 3D tiles to visualize and enhance 3D geometry in the real world.

Using the Geospatial Creator tool, developers can get 3D data from a specified area and move around it as they do in Google Earth.

Developers can locate, place and anchor 3D content with sub-meter precision in areas covered by Google Street View at any given latitude, longitude and height. You can also use terrain and roof anchors to place 3D content relative to ground and building geometry.

Users can access Geospatial Creator through ARCore Extensions in Unity and Geospatial Pre-release in Adobe Aero.

Google claims that even ordinary users who don't have much programming skills can use Geospatial Creator to create a world-anchored immersive experience in minutes. The tool aims to make the world a canvas created by AR and to enable users to turn their creative vision into reality.
