CTOnews.com, May 12, Bloomberg said in a news article that since Samsung launched its first foldable phone in 2019, various manufacturers have launched related products. With the launch of Google's Pixel Fold, Apple is the only major mobile phone manufacturer that does not have a foldable phone.

It is reported that although Apple has been developing a collapsible iPhone for several years, executives have not shown much interest in releasing such devices.

Bloomberg said that for Apple, like the original iPhone launched in 2007, Apple prefers to start with established categories and provide more advanced devices, rather than redesigning its own iPhone product line.

Neil Mawston, head of Strategy Analytics research, said the premature release of a foldable smartphone that could not be sold could destroy the entire iPhone franchise.
