CTOnews.com May 12, HWiNFO is a free hardware monitoring tool. The latest version 7.46 fixes Windows 11 Legacy CPU using read, kernel hardware stack driver issues.

HWiNFO usually reports CPU usage in two ways, Core Utility or CPU Utility is reported by the task manager in Windows 8 or later, and the task manager reports CPU usage is not the best way, because it can even show that the maximum CPU usage is greater than 100%. At the same time, Legacy CPU usage depends on "time-based utilization", which is usually a more accurate measure of processor utilization. The Legacy CPU reading problem has now been fixed on Windows 11.

In addition, this version fixes driver compatibility with Windows kernel mode hardware mandatory stack protection (Windows security feature); there are several fixes related to AMD processors, including fixes for electrical design current (EDC) values on Raphael (Ryzen 7000).
