CTOnews.com Twitter announced in a tweet that it has rolled out the direct message encryption feature Musk announced in his May 9 tweet.

In the early stages, Twitter will only be available to certified users (Blue V users and some Grayscale beta users) and certified corporate users, but they are "looking forward to rolling it out to more users." When the Encrypted Message function is available, a toggle key appears in the upper right corner of the screen to enable Encrypted mode when clicking on the Message icon, and the message is encrypted when sent. Encrypted messages will display a heart symbol with a "+" next to the balloon.

CTOnews.com query learned that "encryption capability" means that only the sender and receiver of the message can see the content of the message, and Twitter companies cannot see or intercept the relevant content.
