CTOnews.com, May 12, Apple currently has a "worry" that many companies are jealous of-too much cash. For AAPL investors, this means that Apple will start massive buybacks and healthy dividends in the coming years.

According to the report for the second quarter of fiscal 2023 ended April 1, Apple's operating cash flow totaled $28.6 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 198.77 billion yuan). Apple spent $19.1 billion to buy back 129 million AAPL shares and paid $3.7 billion in dividends to investors.

Foreign science and technology media Morningstar believes that on the one hand, abundant cash is a good thing, which means that the company has enough flexibility to innovate and maintain competitiveness through investment; on the other hand, the more cash on the company's balance sheet, it only charges interest, which is usually regarded by investors as inefficient use of capital.

At the end of the quarter, Apple had $166 billion (currently about 1.15 trillion yuan) in cash on its balance sheet. After factoring in debt of about $110 billion, the total net cash is $57 billion (currently about 396.15 billion yuan).

The owners of Apple shares have always been the biggest beneficiaries of this "annoyance". Since the beginning of 2013, the company has returned nearly $732 billion (currently about 5.09 trillion yuan) to investors through share buybacks and dividends.

During that time, apple's share price soared 952.5%, compared with an 180.4% increase in Morningstar US Market Index's share price.
